Republic India!!
We are into 62nd year of Republic...
Few thoughts to ponder on this occasion..Today morning i casually saw the new channel where I found a scrolling ..
‘Some Mischief gang has destroyed/damaged the Dr.B .R .Ambedkar Statue.’
I could see all the leaders condemning it immediately, some blaming the government for this act and some asking the government about the protection of the downtrodden people...
I was really shocked at the immediate response from the political parties after the incident...Even from the Government side..
Ambedkar Ji ,The Father of Indian Constitution…. You cannot attribute his contribution to a particular caste or region …He is the son of Mother INDIA
It made me recollect the incident which happened at the center of the state capital in the MID day where numerous police were standing helpless when the status of the great legends were being destroyed
Immediately I could get the answer...
Those legends cannot be related to any political parties or to any sector in the caste politics..
That’s the reason they still lay there watching the Gautama Buddha statue opposite to them...
They don’t deserve this kind of treatment at least ...We are INDIANs after all....
And we have the right to stay where ever we like...What did those statues do to the burning issue??
Is it there fault to excel in their respective fields and being honored in the state capital by having a statue...Just because they do not belong to a region ...you cannot pull them out....
After all We are all humans....Show some humanity....tolerance...Tolerance towards other religions...regions...
If we are afraid to condemn these kinds of acts...There will be a situation ....the similar issue might arise
where people might destroy the statue of FATER of NATION stating that he is not from that state
Its near to impossible to expect the politicians to be transparent in their thinking but at least it is very possible for me to believe that we the people of India do not get trapped into these political traps..
Being secular...Asking for social justice doesn’t mean to look down at the people who practice and state their religion openly...
(let me take an Example boldly here)Saying that i am Hindu doesn’t mean I am not secular...is it???
Secular means...everyone has right to express their religion fearlessly and others should be tolerant towards it....
and coming to social justice....
The constitution was written 62 years back and there have been lots of changes in the economy and- social backdrop now...
Its time to revisit it and make some changes so that it best suits the current scenario,
Political parties are taking the advantage of the system and controlling the public emotions..
Yes Reservations are badly needed for at least few years ahead..
But the kind of reservations should change...
The social justice through economic status is needed not barely on the caste...
Why should caste be taken into consideration when giving the seats in the assembly elections..??
Let’s eliminate the caste system by not uttering the caste name not by allocation reservation...
Does a political party dare to do this...Answer is BIG NO....
They are afraid that those caste people might not vote them for the next election...
If I go on like this...I can find hell lot of this which as an 'AAM ADMI' but cannot CHANGE
I may not be the person with high intellect to talk about such big issues...but I am just trying to express my views
Let us as citizens of INDIA...try to be fare with fellow INDIANS...
Do not judge by CASTE, REGION and RELIGION
